Sandy Springs is Georgia's sixth largest city and the second largest in the metro Atlanta area, with a population of roughly 108,000. The city sits just north of Buckhead and straddles I-285.
Incorporated as its own city in 2005 after residents voted 94% in favor, Sandy Springs blends urban convenience with pockets of estate-sized privacy along the Chattahoochee River. The redeveloped City Springs district anchors downtown with a performing arts center, city green space, a Saturday farmers market, and a growing restaurant scene, giving the city the walkable core it never had before. Sandy Springs is also a major employment hub, home to the corporate headquarters of Mercedes-Benz USA, UPS, Cox Communications, WestRock, and Graphic Packaging International.
It sits within "Pill Hill," Georgia's largest medical district, anchored by Northside Hospital Atlanta, Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite Hospital. With I-285, I-75, I-85, and GA-400 all converging here, residents can reach Buckhead, Midtown, Perimeter, and the northern suburbs in minutes, and four MARTA rail stations serve the city.
