I really enjoy downtown Canton. Two of my favorites are Local on North for its amazing farm-to-table New American dishes and great brick-oven pizzas, and La Cantina on Main for their unbeatable upscale street tacos and craft margaritas, both spots deliver a vibrant, trendy vibe that never disappoints. They are usually packed with great live music as well, which is exactly what I look for when spending an evening out.
I love Country music for comfort, roots, and singing along in the car. Indie Folk for quiet, relaxing evenings at home. And I am also a big fan of 90s and Alternative Rock that matches my high-energy moments or when I need a boost of motivation.
I absolutely love to cook and am always looking for the next great recipe. I am constantly trying out new meal plans, testing unique ingredients, and cooking up dishes I’ve never made before. The only catch? I deeply, truly hate the cleanup! For me, the joy is entirely in the creative process (and the tasting), so I am always on the hunt for delicious one-pot meals that minimize the dish pile. My favorite way to completely power down is the ultimate classic and curling up in a quiet spot with a fantastic book.
I am happiest when I am outdoors especially if there is water involved. During the summertime, my absolute favorite way to unwind is spending the day soaking up the sun by the pool or heading out to the lake to clear my head and reset. I am an avid walker and love exploring our local landscapes walking through the beautiful trails at Veterans Park or Gibbs Gardens or strolling through the vibrant streets of downtown Canton. Above all else, my weekends are about my family. I love being on the sidelines cheering them on at their various sporting activities. When the chaos of the week winds down, we love keeping it simple at home winding down the evening with a little friendly family competition over a classic game of UNO or Scrabble.
